With less than a month left to the Foyle Clubs second annual beach race on Portrush East Strand on the weekend of 27th & 28th October, just on time for the half term break, and a great family weekend out.
Details of the racing were announced at a Press Launch recently attended by Councillor Norman Hillis of Causeway Coast & Glens Council, and Peter Thompson head of Tourism & Recreation, where both spoke of the importance of the event after last years success in attracting people to the area in the ‘off season’, as well as the spectacle and fun to be had watching off road motorcycling close up.
The weekend will begin with signing on Friday at the Atlantic Hotel, followed by 5 races on Saturday and 4 on Sunday for each class of Premier, Semi Expert, Clubman MX1, Clubman MX2, Quads & Sidecars (tides permitting), trophies and awards will be presented in the Atlantic Hotel on Saturday night, and on Sunday evening on the promenade, there will be 130 competitors spread across the various classes.
