MOULDS UP TO SECOND IN BRITISH SIDECARCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
At the latest round of the MAXXIS British Sidecarcross Championships at Dean Moor in Cumbria Gary Moulds and Steve Kirwin have moved up to second place in the Championship with a second overall behind reigning Champion Stuart Brown.
Moulds led the first race for 5 laps before being overhauled by the Grand Prix winning Brown to finish second, while in race two he again managed an excellent second place, his usual bad luck struck in race 3 when the clutch in the AMS KTM VMC machine cried enough, but Gary & Steve held on to claim third place and second overall on the day, moving them to second place in the Championship.
Also making her comeback after injuring her arm way back in April at Desertmartin, big sister Emma with passenger Alan Gardner aboard managed a 16th a 15th and a 14th, while Niki Adair from Randalstown passengered English driver Dan Goodall to 11th, 14th and 14th in the three races.
This is a great result for both Lisburn based crews and with the Sidecarcross of Nations in Denmark growing ever closer, is a good omen for Team Ireland.
